the purpose of this website is to provide a central repository of plugins, and utilities created for use with the WindowBlinds window enhancement software from Stardock.net Inc.. a library of tools and options for designers and users of 'skins' (personalities) for WindowBlinds.

my humble apologies to all for taking so long to get around to updating this site....

updates include: links to the Stardock UIS format help files, additions/updates to the WB skin site links, and addition of SkinBench to the Tools section, as well as NumPlug to the the Plugins page.

WindowBlinds by Neil Banfield / Stardock.net - the ultimate skinnable app... WB allows you to skin all your Windows windows. Available as a shareware app and also as a component of the Object Desktop Network.

BuilderBlinds by Adam Najmanowicz / Stardock.net - the official editor/creation tool for developing WindowBlinds skins. Now a part of the Object Desktop Network, but also still currently available as a stand alone application.

As well as the main skin editor app, the installation of BB also includes a few other utilities:

- Explorer Synchronizer - a tool for automatically changing the Explorer toolbar background image either manually or automatically when a WB skin is changed.
- Button Test - a simple tool for checking the visibility of various skin elements depending on type of window.
- WB Remote - a command line utility that can remote control various WindowBlinds functions.
- TweakWB - a control panel style app that can change various settings of WindowBlinds and Windows Explorer.

WindowBlinds skin format guides

- WindowBlinds "Advanced" skin format (UIS2) - The most powerful feature set. Most skins are of this format.

- WindowBlinds "Basic" skin format (UIS1+) - Skins of this format can only be used with Windowblinds 2.0 or greater.

- WindowBlinds latest skin format additions - New skinnable items for use with WB 2.xx and above.

- WindowBlinds original skin format (UIS1) - Skins of this format can only be used with Windowblinds versions 1.xx or less.
