IconPackager, part of Object Desktop for Windows, is one of the most versatile, and powerful, yet easy to use shell customisation programs available today! IconPackager allows you to customise features in Windows 95/98, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000 that are not accessible from the standard user interface. Some of these features may improve system performance, some may make your life with Windows a little easier, and others are purely cosmetic. Several features of IconPackager make it stand head and shoulders above most other customisation programs that are currently available.

Icon Packages
One of the main features of IconPackager are Icon Packages. An Icon Package allows you to save all your customised icon settings to a file.

When a theme is saved, all icon locations are saved to the theme file of your choice. A theme file can then be easily loaded directly into the program at a later time. By applying the icons to your system, you can have a new look and feel to your desktop within seconds. Icon Packages simply provide you with a quick and efficient way of changing all your icons at once. It works just like magic.

IconPackager comes preinstalled with a variety of Icon Packages that can enhance the look of your entire Desktop. If you find that none of the themes are to your liking, then visit the Themes page. Here you will find an extensive collection of themes that you’re sure to like.

Icons & Cursors
The main part of the program is made up of seven different tabs. The tabs on the program associate the icons and cursors, with the area that is affected when replacing a file. The graphics on the different tabs, show you their true size, as they are displayed on your system. As you have probably found out, these icons cannot normally be changed, but IconPackager gives you this ability.

The seven areas consist of the following:

Desktop: My Computer, My Documents, Network Neighborhood, Internet Explorer, In Box, My Briefcase, Recycle Bin.

Start Menu: Programs, Favorites, Documents, Settings (including Control Panel and Printers), Find, Help, Run,  Log Off, Suspend, Shut Down.
